charlesm Advanced Member Joined: 10/6/2005 Last visit: 2/26/2024 Posts: 44 Rating: (0)	I am using the Communication Between a Beckhoff PLC and a Comfort Panel via OPC UA to setup coms with a Beckhoff OPC UA server and a comfort panel. I have the server working and it test good with the Beckhoff Simple client. In portal I can find the server when setting up the connection and I select the none/none security. When I go to add a tag and try to browse the server it disables the screen which makes me think it has disconnected. I get an error to Restart Address editor. Is this a security setting problem or a problem in portal. Portal V14 SP1 Attachment OPC_Siemens_11.png (176 Downloads)

Check also that you use the anonymus User Account in the Server because the WinCC Comfort/Advanced cannot use Username ans Password if there is a function to let any client certificates pass in the Server then activate this temporary Bye Murof

It connected with Username/Password but does not with Anonymous. So this follows the path that comfort panels need an Anonymous connection. I'm not sure where this needs to be changed in the server. Is this normally in certificates or end point settings?
