Best monitor for working with the TIA Portal?

I am constantly frustrated by the too often arrangements of panes in the TIA portal that only leaves me with 3 cm. of editing space. I'm tired of closing down panes and moving lines to get a usable editing space All monitor-upgrades results in wider monitors, but that does not really resolve the issue of the narrow editing space.

Have anyone considered to use, or are using the "DualUp" (16:18) monitor?

It seems that this type can give a good editing area and also have the Properties-pane up.

Any thoughts?

What you shared there is a screen that is higher instead of wider. Almost square. Will that arrangement suit you better? It is a personal choice. Just do watch the hight from desk to top of the screen. Is this height comfortable for you.

My choice is to go wide & curved. Recently I bought myself a 32" curved monitor (2560x1440, 1000R). In retrospect I should have gotten the smaller 27" as the 32" monitor is too high. The height gives my neck some strain. This particular curve radius makes it easier to comfortably focus on a wider area. My backup monitor is a flat 25" ultra-wide IPS monitor (2560x1080) which is a joy to use for focussed work.

A viable alternative is to get a proper monitor stand that can handle 2 or 3 monitors. Focus on the ease of adjustment an the mechanism which the stand uses to stabilise the weight. Also focus on a setup that allows you to rotate 90º. Then get smaller monitors (I assume your PC can handle the video output). This way you have flexibility to go wide, stacked or even rotated.

What are your thoughts?

Better way to work with existing monitor in TIA Portal (topic title shift):

Once you like the window layout, click the "Save Window" setting button in the upper right of the working pane.

If you are very particular about this right away, over time you find your working pane is maximized most of the time you want it maximized, and one click away most of the rest of the time.
