Bit within a tag in expression

Arm_nz Posts: 19 Rating: (1)	Hi, WinCC in TIA V11. I want to access a bit within a tag, then then use that bit in an expression (please see attached picture) For example; I want a lamp to change colour if either the 11th bit or 12th bit in Cv_BitSts_Fire(double word) are high. I need to know the right way access the bit something like: IF Cv_BitSts_Fire/11 OR Cv_BitSts_Fire/12 THEN glow lamp. Do I need to insert a VB script to do this? If I do, how and where can I find the functions about accessing a bit within a tag? Sorry if this is very basic and I have missed something in my reading. Cheers! Attachment dhVI9.JPG (786 Downloads)

Arm_nz Posts: 19 Rating: (1)	Thanks for your reply! but how can I look at 2 bits at once this way? It seems I can only acess 1 bit. I want an OR expression. e.g. I want to change the object's colour if either 12th bit OR 13th bit are 1.
