Block a page if the value is lower in the programming ?

Hello experienced poeple,

First, sorry for my technical english, it's not my natural language. I will do the best for you to understand my question. It's my first question for WinCC. I'm a begginer in TIA portal

I use WinCC basic V13 and a KTP400 Basic ( 6AV2 123) and a API 1212C (AC/DC/RLY). My projet for my factory is to count capsules and I have to choose a set value to count.

My question :

I would like a security for this page (attachment).  If my set value to reach than I write is lowest at 10, I don't have power go to the next setting. I would like a message " The set value is lowest"  appear if I press the next setting and than I stay on this page so the set value is superior at 10.

It's was possible ?

I already try to find alone but I didn't succeed.

I search on Youtube, this forum, Internet and I don't find a tutorial. Just the manuel but I don't find this problem for solve my question.

Second, What is your kind of WINCC tag Symbolic of Absolute , You should put it as Absolute

try the following:

• The user inserts a number in the Input filed.
• If the number is high enough (>=10) you set a tag "EnoughCapsules" (bool) to 2 in the PLC program
• Else you keep the tag "EnoughCapsules" (Int) at what is was before (1 or 0)
• Then you dynamize the visibility of the Button:
  (Select the button and go to "Properties > Animations > Display".
  Double-click on "Add new animation" and select "Visibility" in the new window. Click OK.
  Select the tag "EnoughCapsules" and set the parameters to "Invisible" and the Range to from 0 to 1.
• If the number is high enough and therefore the button is visible you have to reset the tag "EnoughCapsules" to 0. You can do that in the PLC program or on the button.
  (Select the button and go to "Properties > Events > Release" and add the system function "SetTag" for the tag "EnoughCapsules" and set it to 0. (If you want to change the picture after pressing the button you add that system function here, too.)
• Add the text you want to show, if the value is to low. (Set the background if the text to "Solid" for better contrast.) Select the text and go to  "Properties > Animations > Display".
  Double-click on "Add new animation" and select "Visibility" in the new window. Click OK. Select the tag "EnoughCapsules" and set the parameters to "Visible" and the Range to from 1 to 1.
• Now go to "HMI tags" and select the HMI tag that connects to the tag "EnoughCapsules" in the PLC.
  Go to "Properties > Properties > Settings" and set the "Acquisition mode" to "Cyclic continuous".

Short summary:

- New tag that can have the values 0, 1 and 2
- 0: don't show button, don't show info text
- 1: don't show button, show info text
- 2: show button, don't show info text (and change screen)

Edit:

You can use the alarms instead of the text message, but then you need an alarm view in screen and trigger the alarm when the value of the tag with the number of capsules is too low.

By the way...
I don't see a reason why you shouldn't adress the tag symbolic?

Hi!

I just wanted to add that you can set limits to your tag also in the HMI, by opening the HMI Tag table, right click --> Properties. There you have the Range tab with Maximum and Minimum.

Edit: If you want to display your analog alarm message, you have to put an Alarm view on your page (or e.g. on the Global screen).
