ziceva Experienced Member Joined: 7/27/2009 Last visit: 6/20/2024 Posts: 36 Rating: (1)	Hi, I have a demo case with a CPU 1214C and some other components (a ktp300 panel etc). Before playing with it, I want to save everyting in the memory but a error occurs each time ... I can see & open all the blocks in the online view except for one that has a denied sign next to it. When I try to open that block I get the error in the subject ... Seems straight forward to look for the updates, but as far as I know I already have the latest software (Step 7 Profesional V11 SP1 + UPD2). Any idea why this could happen and what the solution might be? Thank you.

But it seems, it is missing a license of your software. If you have installed a new version of STEP 7, you have also install a new license in refer to this version. With best regards Cicero

First of all, I am sure enough that this is not a licence problem: I have a licence for Step 7 Professional V11. Here are more information in regard to the scenario: a. First of all I created a new, empty project. I added an unspeciffied CPU 1200 and clicked on Detect so that the HW configuration is mirrored. (this worked like a charm) b. Right click on the PLC_1 Device and select Compare > Offline/Online The Info tab/ General displays the error depicted in image1.jpg The block list displays the denied sign depicted in image2.jpg Double click on the block displays the error in image3.jpg Thank you Attachment images.zip (769 Downloads)

Cicero Gold Member Joined: 10/10/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2024 Posts: 1921 Rating: (136)	Hello, you have created the S7-1200 device. But S7-SCL you can use only for S7-300/400. S7-SCL is not supported for S7-1200. The other message refers to your project, which do you have created in TIA Portal V11+SP1. And if you go with this project in TIA Portal V11 (without SP1), then it is possible, that you will receice this error. With best regards Cicero
