Blocks do not Upload Properly

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear All, Recently I faced a problem of uploading backup from S7-300 CPU with MLFB 6ES7-315-2AG10-0AB0. I have uploaded backup once then I got some blocks which was not include OB-1 also. After that I have tried to see the blocks online, there also it was not showing all blocks. After that again I tried 2-3 times then I got all blocks with OBs. So i am not sure why this problem has happened? What may be the reason for missing blocks during uplaod? Please reply.

Go online, copy and then paste to offline or you make 'real' upload when selecting upload from PLC ? Also, what interface do you use and which version of Step-7 ? Edit: I suppose Step-7 version is not so very important as this PLC is quite old. So its very interesting issue. Even have no big ideas on what can be wrong... Do you have MMC programmer ? It would be nice to check what you can read directly from card.

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	Dear Darius, I have done the same thing, I have gone to online & Copied blocks from online & paste it in offline. After that also the same problem. Currently we are using Step-7 V 5.5 but it is working OK for all other PLCs. I have used MPI interface to upload the Backup.

Hello Mr.Bhagvti, Can you please tell us which cable are you using fro uploading a program? Is that Cable working fine with other PLC while uploading/downloading the program. There may be a problem with CPU or some EMI effect also possible.

It can't be partialy working. I believe Step-7 calculates checksums and 'know' how much blocks should be uploaded, so if cable fails, you'll get an error. This is completely different issue.

The possible reason will be Any Protection on the block or In program there will be any internal error.... you can take programm from MMC card also..if updated program copy into MMC.

Dear Rajkiran, For your kind information. if plant is running you cannot take out the MMC from PLC so i think you cannot do that RAJKIRAN Dear All, In program there will be any internal error.... Dear Rajkiran, Solution finder has not said somethin about problem with running Programm in PLC. So i think there is no chance of an internal error. May be Some blocks are password protected but i really don't know if blocks are password protected it will cause such error or not It would be nice if Solution finder (Mr. Divyesh Bhagvati) Comes up with few words here
