Blowing Eprom

1937WL Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hallo out thereI have some problems with blowing a new program into an Eprom in S5.I use the Field PG M3 and Step 5 ver. 7.23.I have understood that I should exclude the DB blocks in the program I write into the Eprom but how is that done?There are options for choosing witch blocks to write but no exclude option.I have changed the Output addresses in the old program (Q) and I have erased the Eprom and now I want to blow the new program into the Eprom. The new program contains the DB 0, 1, 2, 3. I have checked the DB and they contain the old Output addresses so of course the PLC will go nutts if I install the Eprom with this new program. Why is the old output addresses in The DB-blocks when I have changed them in the program?

Youare ableprogram (blow) each Program Block individually to the Eprom. Please see manual : http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/9830806 chapter 18 2.) Depending on your PLC DB0 is sometimes used by the CPU for settingsfor I/O image and setup of internal interfaces. please see chapter 10 of the manual. 3) I am not shure that I understand your question about the DB,s that the I/O addresses are still in the DB. 1937WL Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thanks’ for the tips, Blowing the blocks separately worked just fine. According to the questions I had about the DB's I found that chapter 9 in the manual covers this subject. The problem again, I had a program in the PLC which managed a warning light attached to output Q 20.1 Now I have edited the program in PB1by moving the warning light to output Q13.1, using the PG. And there it stays, however when I check the DB2 It’s saying:910: AL=Q13.1 Q13.1 1115: AL=Q20.1 Q20.1 Warning lightAnd although I open the db in editor is seems to be read only.Since the db’s not following to the eprom and into the PLC I guess this is not a big problem but still it is annoying.Is this normal? Can I fix it?
