Is there a command to broadcast (by the head cpu) 10 bytes over the profinet network. Its contains some general commands like that:

• general start, stop, reset, emergency stop, etc
• a pilot speed ref  

If the head cpu broadcast all unindividual commands, it will minimize the communication traffic.

only my opinion, simply Profinet communication (as we mean I/O) has it's own mechanism of living, so your request I'll be implement like user communication, PUT/GET Exchange of data or I/O controller (if it can be supported). Also Profibus has same living system, you can't include your own needs to that functionality. Maybe other experts give propper info, but my opinion is use of user communication over Profinet layer. What are your speed requirements of 'broadcasting' ? Is speed critical?

Multiple communication protocols can run on the Ethernet link.

Consider Modbus/TCP.
It has the ability to broadcast if addressing address "0".
Downside?.. No slave gives a response back.
