The solution worked for me as well, with the same drawback that I cannot login on the runtime (only the autologin from runtime manager works) How did you install the UserManagementServiceLayer again?

The combination of these 2 posts fixed the error 503 for me.

The runtime opens, but without login. Whereby I probably have to set up my UMC server again after deleting the website.

Nice that after an update installation everything runs error-free as before

From Siemens Support I got the following tip:

1) Please create a *.txt file and copy the following lines into it:

C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe uninstall module UserManagementServiceLayer

net stop w3svc

net start w3svc

2) Save, close.

3) Rename file extension from *.txt to *.bat

4) asked to start file by right-clicking "Run as administrator".

Unfortunately with me without success, but maybe it helps someone else.

Now it's running for me again. I did the following:

• the running Runtime stopped in WinCC Unified Runtime Manager
• deleted all certificates in iis manager
• in Siemens.Unified.CertManager all certificates and certification authority deleted
• New CA and Web certificate created and installed in Siemens.Unified.CertManager
• in the IIS Manager under "Sides" the entry WinCC Unified SCADA deleted
• Run WinCC Unified Configuration again
• in IIS Manager, under Application Pools, restart the DefaultAppPool entry (it was in the Stopped state)

I didn't had to change the UMC Server.

I just needed to put the correct UMC site in the Runtime Configuration manager. In first field, I put in "https://" at the beginning, which caused the second field to add the site as "https://https://", which the browser didn't like
