BSEND (SFB12) transmission consistency

dmelliot Advanced Member Joined: 9/17/2008 Last visit: 1/21/2025 Posts: 49 Rating: (4)	Assuming my program is efficient...anyone have any ideas/experience as to what kind of consistency i can expect with the frequency of data transmission. example: if i program it in a 100ms OB, the transmissions easily very between 70ms and 200 ms. Why does the tranmission vary? Siemenshasn't been too helpful. They blamed my measuring device. I have used different logic for calling BSEND and can get a consistent minimum but can never obtain a consistent maximum. I have stripped out the rest of the user program and it's still not consistent. BSEND is not providing any errors. i am using a 417-4H (redundant system), 441-2AA04 with X27 submodules transmitting ASCII at 9600 baud, 8 bytes of data I have attached a pic of the time between data transmissions.
