C7-635 (TP 170B) connect it to TP177B(to show the information 2 places). Is it Possible without masterfile?

walock Posts: 24 Rating: (0)	Hello. I have a customer with an C7-635(CPU 315 and TP 170). The customer wants to connect a second HMI panel to show the same information that is on TP 170. Only for visual. Is it possible to take out the project file from TP 170 and dump it to the new HMI (TP177B) and make it work without the masterfile?(master file is not available, I only have the compiled file) Will I be able to download the backup from TP 170? And is it possible to change the bus address of the panel(so the 2 panel don’t have the same bus address)? Regards

The orginal C7-635 has a replacement(Diffent MLFB) I guess the backup from the original HMI will work with this HMI( even if it has a different MLFB nr?) The new one is: SIMATIC C7-635 TOUCH,COMPACT UNITWITH INTEGRATED COMPONENTS:S7-300 CPU314C-2 DP AND TP170B,24 DI, 16 DO, 5 AI, 2 AO;MICRO MEMORY CARD ANDCONNECTOR SET REQUIRED

No it will not work To change part number you should have the configuration file. If you tried to download the backup to a different MLFB, I will not start as the first thing prosave check is the MLFB. Hope this helps.
