Cable Cutter Speed control

It is my first project with siemens so be gentle I want to make a Cable Cutter. The idea is that you type some value of length to HMi and press start. I have a motor for cable feeding, controled with mitsubishi VFD, with encoder. When encoder reach desired value, then the cable will be cut. Now i want to control the speed of motor. I want that motor starts slowly then get faster and at the end of desired value get slower. The idea is to use RM and RL terminal at mitsubishi VFD. For now i am using a comparator, when the CV=RC then cutting is active. Please help me solve my problem... Attachment Capture tia.JPG (47 Downloads)

With this, you could use the settings for velocity and acceleration and deceleration to control the ramp up of the motor and the speed. With motion control function "MC_MoveRelative" or "MC_MoveAbsolute", you could drive the motor the wanted length of your cable... Please try... It seems that we only need a pulse bit on an output. Feels like it would bring pain to the project to mix in PROFIdrive with an mitsubishi VFD, but i dont know :) Br

You could choose between (see picture "02_TO_PositioningAxis_PTO.png"): PTO (Pulse Train Out) - I think, that is, you need for Mitsubishi Analog drive connection PROFIdrive (with PROFINET connection to the drive) For pulse output, you could use the fast pulse outputs "Pulse_1"..."Pulse_4" of the PLC with 24V DC and 100kHz or you could add a signal board (6ES7 222-1AD30-0XB0) with four outputs of 5V DC with 200kHz (see picture "01_HW_S7-1200_SignalBoard.png") At the technology object (in PTO setting!) you could choose the output at the PLC or at the signal board (see picture "03_OutputSelection_CPU_SignalBoard.png") At the technology object "PositiongAxis" you could set the velocity rising and falling in pulses per second at a specified ramp time (see picture "04_TO_Dynamics.png") You finde the pictures in "Pictures.zip"... Older S7-1200 PLCs (like CPU 1211C DC/DC/DC - 6ES7211-1AD30-0XB0 - Firmware V2.0) have no technology object "TO_PositionAxis". They only have the technology object "TO_Axis_PTO". Within this technology object, you could only use PTO and not analog output or PROFIdrive. The selection ***iblity is only available on new technology objects. This is the right way to control pulse train drives, and you will get good results with this. I have done it a lot with S7-1200. Select the pulse train option: Please post if you need further assistance setting up the TO.
