Hello, you do not need to use PROFIdrive... You could choose between (see picture "02_TO_PositioningAxis_PTO.png"):
For pulse output, you could use the fast pulse outputs "Pulse_1"..."Pulse_4" of the PLC with 24V DC and 100kHz or you could add a signal board (6ES7 222-1AD30-0XB0) with four outputs of 5V DC with 200kHz (see picture "01_HW_S7-1200_SignalBoard.png") At the technology object (in PTO setting!) you could choose the output at the PLC or at the signal board (see picture "03_OutputSelection_CPU_SignalBoard.png") At the technology object "PositiongAxis" you could set the velocity rising and falling in pulses per second at a specified ramp time (see picture "04_TO_Dynamics.png") You finde the pictures in "Pictures.zip"...
