I need to do some predictive calculations and need to know the actual acceleration/deceleration times and the distances traveled using a trapezoidal profile with Jerk. I looked around in the manuals but couldn't find them.

The basic formulas aresimple, butJerk will add time and distance during trasients andI don't know how much.

Anyone have the formulasavailable?

I know sizer can do that, which is where I got the idea. However, I need to do this within the program (flying saw, calculate approximate product length change during the return stroke to calculate the total cycle time).

I may just play with sizer and do a regression formula based on various accel rates and speeds. I know it is a second order polynomial with conditionals, but I was hoping for a true formula.

I found a system command that does exactly this.

_getaxisstoppingdata. Input velocity, accel and jerk and you get distance and time.
