Hello niksss, Let me help you with this. I have compiled some of the useful information for you and future PCS 7 forum's User. 1. How do you count the number of process objects (PO) for the PCS 7 licenses? 2. How are the licenses for the AS and OS counted in PCS 7 V7.0 onwards? 3. PCS7 V9. Calculation OS RT PO and AS RT PO for AS 410E Red. , Check on Oreca's Post. 4. how the license PO works., Check onOreca's Post. 5. I want to know the exact difference between AS PO and AS RT PO?, Check on Ralfinio 's Post. 6. What actions lead to loss of "AS RT PO" licenses with PCS 7? The calculation is quite complicated. Not that straight forward. My practices are 1. check the PTT type that I am going to use using PLC SIM. I should know what kind of PTT to use and roughly how many CFC you are going to use. I also check the module driver PO consumption and How many Soft IO tag do I have. Frequently Soft IO tags with Archiving took the most of the PO. Check the PTT corresponding PO consumption in AS and OS PO, get an estimated idea, make a table/list. 2. Filled up the IO list with PTT type and PO consumption. Multiply them. You should have a rough idea. 3. Sometimes, I do generate all the IO and PTT into projects, download to PLC, to check to load and download log. I will also check the PO Count of the Instance DBs (as shown in attachment) to get a rough idea on the PO consumption. 4. Be careful if you would like to use APL or Industry library function blocks, sometimes one function blocks and consume quite a lot of POs, such as Param Block which consumes>10 POs. Hope this information helpful for you. |
