Calculation of time of a timer according to Farmula (Time=Distance/Speed)

Gaurav_79 Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	Dear All, I want to create a program in S7-300 PLC in which time value of a timer should change automatically according to the farmula time=distance/speed. I already have Speed signal in word format from PLC analog output to AC drive and also from AC drive AO to plc Analog Input, which is being used for speed display. All I want to do is to calculate time of reaching material at a particular point on a conveyor attached to this AC drive and to operate a device at that time. I tried this in many ways but as distance is an integer value, speed is in word format and time is in S5 format, I am not getting the correct result. Please proide me the solution. Gaurav_79 Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	Dear Hdsosseini, Why FC40 is not working in my program.... It is not giving output at any Time input. I tried Simatic S5 time to Time converter and found that it is working fine. Regards, GAURAV

Next thing you need to is convert real into Integer then to S5Time format.Following code you can use to convert from Integer to S5time. I tried Simatic S5 time to Time converter and found that it is working fine. Check the change program to provide accuracy of millisecond to the previous version.Simply multiply by 1000 in real and round the value transfer the value to a double word which is format of TIME.See the attachment for output of my project. Gaurav_79 Posts: 33 Rating: (1)	Dear Friend, I have tried everything but not getting the result. So I am providing you the details I have in my program. MW 525 -- speed (125 means 12.5 m/min) distance -- 5 meters Now please make program according to this data. Thanks for ur gr8 help GAURAV
