Let's say I insert a "windows media player" ActiveX object onto a screen, and call it "Player".

Granted I can assign WinCC Flexible tags to the PARAM tags of the Player, mainly the URL that selects which media file to play.

The problem with this is that I need to know how to access the methods of the object... like say for example I have a button on a screen labeled "Play". The play method in scripting would simply be Player.Controls.play( ). Since I can't actually type anything I want into the onClick eventfor the button, I probably need to write this in the WinCC Flexible vb-script environment.

What sort of path do I need to take to get to the object'smethods in scripting, as in: something.somethingelse.Player.Controls.play( ) ?

I am not inventing my own ActiveX controls, I just need to know how to use existing controls in the WinCC Flexible environment.

Also, I've noticed that when switching screens, WinCC Flexible destroys and then re-creates the object even if it's in the "template" background screen. This behavior doesn't make sense if two different screens use the same background template.
