Can a Siemens CPU315-2DP act as a ProfibusDP slave using Step 7 Lite SP4?

Or can it only be a ProfibusDP master using Step 7 Lite SP4? Thanks again. Splitted from No communication Step 7 Lite with CP5511 to CPU 315-2DP .

Refer to the first link I provided earlier, on the differences between Step 7 Lite and Step 7, it will state "Communications : NO" for Step 7 Lite. So your CPU 315-2DP cannot be setup to exchange data either as DP master or DP slave while you use Step 7 Lite. With Step 7 Basis (regular, normal Step 7) you can set the integrated DP interface to work as a master or a slave, as you wish. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
