Can connect 10 kg load cell and read 10000 units?

As I understood if I add WISE-4010/LAN to my logo 8 I can get higher resolution for my

analog input. In my case I want to connect 10 kg load cell and to read 10000 units.

Will the LOGO read 10000 units (10000 grams in my case) from the load cell that is connected to  the WISE-4010/LAN ?

Also do I need additional Load Cell Amplifier or the load cell can go directly to the WISE-4010/LAN?

If you only have a load cell, then look also for load cell amplifiers with Modbus TCP capability. This will often increase the resolution up to 16 bit and you also can communicate in both directions, not only read out the actual weight.

Since you mentioned ADAM-6717 I/O Module from Advantech, I found very good price for similar module.

It is ADAM-6017. It supports Modbus/TCP and has 16-bit resolution with 8 Analog inputs.

What do you mean with "Of course i have obtained the amplifier" ? Have you already the load cells with appropriate amplifier ? Then tell us, which signal you exactly have depend on the weight.

The ADAM-6017 can communicate with a Logo controller, but be careful with the number areas of different controllers. The Logo only knows integer 15 bit plus sign = -32768 up to +32767, if you want to use with arithmetic block or comparator and so on. You also can use float 32bit or 64bit only for display or convert them to integer 15bit plus sign with lost of accuracy.

If ADAM-6017 has 16 bit without sign = 0 up to +65535, then the Logo will interprete values higher then 32767 as negative numbers. This you can work out with some blocks or you are sure, the value will not exceed 32767. This depends on your application.

I obtained PEPPERL+FUCHS  KFD2-WAC2-1.D  Amplifier because it was recommended on the forum.

I need 10000 values. My goal is to obtain 1 gram on 10 kg load cell. So I guess ADAM 6017 will do the job.

The components can be connected, the load cell to the input of the KFD amplifier, the analog output of the KFD amplifier to the analog input of the ADAM-6017 and from here with a patch cable to the Logo. You have to parameterize the KFD (prefer 4..20mA analog output) and ADAM-6017 (prefer 4..20mA input). With ADAM-6017 you are able to read out the data of analog inputs as 16 bit integer or 4 byte float, both is possible with the Logo. When you scale the components proper, then you can get a value of 0..10000 for 0..10kg.

But i still wonder why you buy components for over 400 euros to attach them to a logo for 100 euros. What do you want with the weight inside the Logo ? Just for display you can use a ready weight system for lower budget.
