Can I connect two scalance of high level not to use second CP for each PC?

rm1902 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, J_Bell! I think you scheme has one problem. If I break one wire from the scalance to a ring? how can I get information from this ring? So it is not a full redundancy.(see attachment). Maybe it necessary to use standby connection between the rings in each system? So we needn't use second switch on the top. How do you think? It contains 2 completely seperated networks from each 4 Rings. But I wonder why you don't connected the 3 rings with each other to have 2 rings instead of six. About your question I would say, as I expected you to use H-Systems, that the PCswitches over from one ring to the other for this connection to ensure the S7-Communication with this PLC, so the loss of one cable connection would be solved by the secondary PC CP and so with the second Ring.
