Hi, which modbus do you mean? RTU, TCP? What do you mean with "MODBUS external CPU"? Wüstenräuber |

Your solution will depend on which CP you are using. For ethernet CP (e.g. CP443) there is an open modbus TCP solution available here:- S7 Open Modbus TCP You can further convert the TCP modbus to RTU modbus if you wish by use of a third party convertor. Lantronix do a very good one that I have used before. Available here:- Lantronix Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU convertor If you are using serial a CP (e.g. CP441, CP341 etc.) then there is a modbus dongle you can purchase to make the CP talk modbus RTU. Or you could write your own block in STL/SCL - that's what I did |
