I have  CP5711 integrated.

Few years ago (from 2013 ) it worked fine, I could communicate with PLC S7 400 very well

Since few days, I can't communicate . In PC/PG interface, when I try to test connection with PLC, I got on  message:

"Error 0x031a: No active PROFIBUS/MPI network found. If you want the CP of this PC to be the only active module (for example in DP master mode), the setting <PG/PC is the only master on bus> must be activated".

but  it is actived already.

I don't know if can be an hardware problem.

Can i inspect hardware with any method?

The reason for the Error Message could also be a software Driver Problem.

perhaps the S7Dos Driver (Driver Package for all SIemens CP Devices build in in Step7 and other Software packages) is damaged so that the CP5711 could not use a working driver.

In this case you could open a Service Request at Siemens. The Support has a Software to renew the S7 Dos Driver only and not to reinstall all the Step7 Software.

you don't have that DP connector with both male and female connection? Because it has mentioned integrated resistor. In my sugested link are infos about driver functionality test, so this can be initiated first for sure. Ehhhhm you have asked about some reinstall SW? simply I recommend use programing cable created with suitable DP connectors on both sides, this is good solution. In case of use your original cable, use it attached with that single DP connector to network. Good luck.
