Can not find GSD file for CU unit

nikivuk Advanced Member Joined: 10/10/2017 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 61 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am trying to connect my PLC 1215 and D435 2 DP/PN Control unit which is part of back to back topology of Siemens drive. I want to do simple task like sending speed reference via Profinet. So far I have done this by using GSD files of the device to which I want to send the data (for example Danfoss FC 302 frequency converter, etc.), however I can not find GSD file for this CU unit. Can anybody help me with advice, please? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PROFINET data record.

Then configure the Transferareas, and then you can export the PROFINET GSDML File. please not that SIMOTION D4x5 ist no a CU is a Motion Control PLC with integrated CU, the CU can not directly connected to the PROFINET. I have the hardware that is PLC and Simatic hardware with D435 2 PN/DP CU. I am trying to make the PLC send and receive data via PROFINET to Simatic device. Is this possible?

The drive system is fully functional and operating, but now I need it to send and receive data from/ to PLC via PROFINET. I use TIA Portal v15.

Not again, SIMOTION D435 is a PLC and not a Drive! open the simotion scout project, open hwconfig of PLC D435, open properties of PN Interface, activate IO-Device mode, add the transfer areas, export the gsdml, instal gsdml inS7-1200 project, send / receive your data.
