Often internal Items of OPC Server are used for logging or Status information. In most cases you use the OPC Server to get access to Automation System information like DB Access or something.

Can You tell me How to create a new process item ? I can not link a HMI Tags with OPC tag, because "...../station 1.101.Objects.DP" is empty !

1.For CP1242-7 V1
1.1 WinCC Advanced:
TCS:[GroupName.StationName.101]DB1,W602
1.2 WinCC Professional
ns=TCS;s=OPC.SimaticNET.TCSB\TCS:[GroupName.StationName.101]DB1,W602
