Can not make connection between hmi simulation and plcsim

madnesssm Advanced Member Joined: 6/11/2012 Last visit: 11/13/2024 Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Dear, I am using ET200 IM151-8, IM151-1 and TP700. I have trouble when trying simulate my program. I have instaled plcsim S7 V5.4 and tia portal v12. I can simulate plc via plcsim, but i can not make connection between hmi simulation and plcsim. I tried to change pg/op interface, but still doesn't work. It is interesanting that when everything works fine with S7-1500 sim. Please help

Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 1/17/2025 Posts: 4394 Rating: (1463)	Hi, I suggest you check first two points: 1 - Acesspoint of application in the connection definition should match with PG/PC interface. 2 - PLC/HMIcommunication definition shoud macht with PLCSim communiction channel i.e: if you define that the HMI will use Ethernet to communicate with PLC, then use PLCSIM(TCP); if STEP7 5.4 communicate with PLCSim ok the Acesspoint of application in the HMIconnection definition should be S7ONLINE.

I had the connection fine in the hmi configuration. Carrying out different tests, add another HMI to the project and configure it from scratch. I just solved it. I think the problem was that I was using a HW from another project (HMI only). So add another HMI and import popup and it works.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/17/2025 Posts: 14593 Rating: (1818)	Hello if you copy an HMI from another project then you should do these steps to get the Communication and configuration work again properly: - Check the IP adresses in the project and correct them as needed - Create a new integrated hmi connection in devices and networks - open connections editor in HMI project. - copy the name of the "old" connection - delete the "old" connection - rename the "new" connection and use the name of the old connection Then compile again everything and existing tags should be connected to new connection and also communication should work Perhaps it helps someone Bye Murof
