Hi Everyone,

I'm having an issue with a TP1200 Comfort panel. 

When I plug my laptop into the switch that connects the 1214C CPU with the TP1200, I can connect to the panel and download everything. 

When I try to do the same thing from a PC that is connected to the plant network, I can not connect to the panel. I can, however, go online to the CPU, download to the CPU and ping the panel without any problems.

When I try to go online it gives me a warning that the HW config of the panel has changed but it was not compiled and loaded yet, but there is no option to download that HW config. 

Any Ideas?

Maybe your panel has the same IP with other device in the plant network. Do you check if there is a conflict of IP within the plant network? Or, just change your panel IP address and test again.

Thank you for answering.

These two devices are the only ones in that IP range. I've been able to connect to the panel through the sm@rtserver functionality too. So i dont think there's a IP conflict.

I suspect it might have something to do with PC/PG settings since i can only select the PN/IE interface in the go online screen. I would need a more general ethernet functionality but i can only change it to TeleService, but this is not the way to go.

It's strange for me your situation.

It's normal the warning message "Going online: the HW configuration of the HMI_RT_1 was changed but it was not compiled and loaded yet. The shown diagnostics is possibly inconsistent or wrong." when your panel goes online.

I don't think there is something to do with the Type of the PG/PC interface, if you are using Ethernet to connect to your panel, the PN/IE (Profinet/Industrial Ethernet) is the right selection.

What you should configure is the Network Adapter's setting (IP adddress, Subnet mask, Default gateway, etc).

If your PC can connect with your panel directly, it should be able to connect via your plant network also, unless there is something to deal with the plant network, ex. the plant network's topology or the plant network is managed by an IT department. If this is the case, you should check with the IT expert.

You can also use the PRONETA tool to scan your plant network making sure that your devices' network settings are all correct. If your PC can catch the device with PRONETA, normally it should be able to connect with it also.

Really appriciate for sharing your expirence it worked for me.

Last night I have changed the HMI device name, by mistake I have also changed HMI_RT_1 to HMI-BMS-1 after that I couldn't connect to the HMI anymore and I didn't know what the reason is. during our today investigation I saw your post I find out what I have done last night, when I change it back I was able to download the software.
