Can someone make Siemens "programmers" more serious?

Homeroid_BL Posts: 211 Rating: (6)	Hi all! TIA Portal V11 can not open TIA Portal V10.5 files. TIA Portal V12 can not open TIA Portal V10.5 and/or TIA Portal V11 files. Do they ever heard about COMPATIBILITY? Sorry for rough words, but it is frustrating.

In TIA Portal V12 SP1, you can open Tia Portal project V11 SP2 in compatiblity mode. Best regards, Wizard

I had TIAP V11 SP2 (Step7 Proff, WinCC Proff) worked fine on C:. But, during installation, it was ERROR. I uninstalled TIAP V12 SP1, tried to reinstall and/or repair - ERROR again. PART TWO: I formatted C: Installed WIn7 Ultimate SP1 32-bit. Install TIAP V12 SP1. Showed no ERROR this time. But: TIAP V12 SP1 can open project ONLY form D: - ????????????????? TIAP V12 SP1 can create projects ONLY on D: - ??????????????????? TAIP V12 SP1 crashes on each attempt to add CPU or HMI or... from catalog - ????????????? PART THREE: Then I tried to repaid TIAP V12 SP1. How again error during installation, the same as in PART ONE. PART FOUR: Both times (non-valid installation described in PART ONEor valid installation described in PART TWO), WinCC Professional V11 was "stolen" from TIAP V11, became V12 and replaced by WinCC Basic V11.. PART FIVE: After uninstalling TIAP V12, I could not install TAIP WinCC Prof V11. Tells me to uninstall all V12 software. Not enough! Tells me to uninstal SQL. Not enough! I had to uninstall: TIAP V11 -???????????? WinCC Flex - ??????????? SQL - ????????????? in order to install TIAP WinCC Professional again. *TOTAL: Loosing 5 days in attemp to install TIAP V12 and roll back.* So, what to say about TIAP V12 SP1????

Why didn't you call the TechSupport? As far as I know they know such an issue and have a tool to repair the file Attributes of your drives (This is the root cause, and it's a Micorsoft related issue).

Homeroid_BL Posts: 211 Rating: (6)	Did not used to do such thing. When i bought Mercedes, I did not call their support to help me start the engine. When i bought Bosch wash/dry loundry machine, I did not call support too. When i bought Sony TV, I did not call support. When i bought OMRON Cx-One, I did not call support. Great companies should be great and deliver product IN WORKING/USABLE STATE. If prerequisite is "Win7 SP1 32-bit, CPU... RAM...", then product MUST operate on that machine. I think the "tool" you mentioned, sholud be integrated in TIAP. I am not system engineer, I am just an automation enginer. I am going to wait for SP2 release (moremature)like I did with TIAP V11.
