I've been struggling for a while and feeling really stuck now, can't download to WinnCC Unified Runtime on PC via VPN.

Pinging works, both devices appear both under "Accessible Devices" and "Online Access"...

Just downloading to Runtime fails with "Failed to establish a connection to the device"

CPU 1510SP, WinCC Unified PC RT on Win11, VPN IXON Router that creates a TAP-Windows Adapter V9.

It works great when connected locally to the IXON Router (either with cable or via WiFi), but not via VPN.

Feels like the Ethernet type of PG/PC Interface called "HMI Ethernet" doesn't see or use the TAP-Windows V9 network adapter created by IXON.

I couldn't even find the settings for this HMI Ethernet PG/PC interface to see if there are some weird settings there?

Have you found a solution to your problem? I've the same problem. I can only download via file transfer and that is annoying.

I have simmilar issue. After update ES to TIA v20, I'm not able to download project through VPN (OpenVPN). In local network works fine. V19 worked without problems.

I've just discvovered. It depends on packets latency. TIA v19 no problem, TIA v20 ping must be lower than cca 50ms for connecting to HMI
