I'm trying to get logs from TP1900 comfort panel to computer, but I can't define a path for it. It was bugging me so I checked forums and YouTube and I found a video that explains it, but in the video the youtuber did exactly what I was trying to and failed. When ever I try to put in the link I get the warning that I'm not allowed to use /:?* signs and a few others. I also have to use \\ before the link to not get an error, but not surprisingly \\C\Users\... doesn't work. He is using version 15 in the video and I'm using version 15.1, however this program was originally made in version 13 so I tried it in the original program and have the same problem.

Do anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Hello Sazu,

you are using a TP1900 and compare it to a PC Runtime. On the PC you have drive C: but on the panel you don't. When you click the Downarrow-button in column Path, you see that you could store to storage card or, I guess, flash (\\).

You have to store the data locally on the panel and then check the following FAQ for copying the data to a PC or NAS: Integrating HMI Operator Panels in TCP/IP Networks and access to a NAS or to a shared Windows folder

Thank you for your help. The thing is that the panel is already mounted at our clients and they just want us to upgrade the software, so I'm currently using the simulator. Where do simulator save files if you chose any of the options (\Storage Card SD\, \Storage Card USB\, \\), because I couldn't find the files anywhere in the map of the project? Our client wants real time data from the panel. Can VB script get that data from the file in real time, or does it have to wait for the file to be completed. Is there any way to do it without saving data? The way to read current value and than sending it in real time to the server computer with VB script.

On my system it creates C:\Storage Card SD when selected \Storage Card SD\. No need to change for simulation.

Don't know about an option that meets this requirements. You can copy the file like every minute, but not in real time. Maybe it is an option to use Sm@rtServer to give the possibility to show the real time trending from the HMI on the customer system.

I'm making a VB script now. On the forum I found a program thad would be a pretty good base for our clients requirements, however I don't know if that program was written for WCC Advanced or WCC Premium. I'm using advanced and as such don't have some of the functions.

I'm getting an error:

Error ActiveX component can't create object: 'FileCtl.FileSystem' in script <Zaspanci> in line 19.

And this is that part of the program:

Is that problem coming from differences between Advanced and Premium? What is an alternative to do this?

Is there any script where differences would be explained together with some of the alternatives.

Thank you Frink, finally got past that point. I have a problem a few lines ahead now but it seams we won't be needing VB script, and will just use Historical data file.
