Can the PG/PC-ProfiBUS USB adapter be accessed remotely ?

Hello,

We have a customer on the other side of the world who has a problem with an S7-300 2DP. His system has no connection to the internet, and he has no local support facilities.

He does have the ability to connect a laptop to the internet, and we canconnect to that.

If he obtains a USB-to-Profibus ( maybe 6GK 1571-0BA00-0AA0 ) could we access that port remotely from our S7 computerhere, with no S7 on his machine ( other than the USB driver ) ?

Or, must he install S7 at his end, and then we can use Remote Desktop?

The software requirements for the adapter says S7 must be present on the PC, but is there a way round this ?
