Hello tom; Not from Siemens, that I know of. What type of equipment do you need to talk to, and what type of application are you working on? Have you searched for Can to Profibus-DP gateways already? Google provides some information: www.rmcan.com/index.php?id=64&L=1 www.esd-electronics-usa.com/CAN%20Gateways.html www.snapon.co.jp/oem/can_group/esd/pdf/can-dp_e.pdf www.cangateways.com/pdf/cbmdpc-e.pdf www.icpdas.com.tw/products///Remote_IO/can_bus/can_intro.htm Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello tomus50 just to compliment Daniel's list have a look at the Anybus range of protocol converters fromHMS. Even though Siemens does not offer a CAN bus interface module, Systeme Helmholz does. Helmholz's CAN bus module supports CAN 2.0A (11bit) and CAN2.0B (29bit) with selectable baudrates between 10Kbps to 1Mbps. I have not personally used this module and you'll obviously need to get in touch with Helmholz for any support related enquiries. Nonetheless, it might be what you are looking for. I hope this helps Cheers Fritz |
