Can use a PC adapter USB/MPI plug on connector 6ES7972-0BB52-0AA0?

buck20182019 Regular Member Joined: 10/22/2018 Last visit: 6/6/2023 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Can you help me. i have: - Module IM151-7F - PC adapter USB/MPI+ V2.0 - Profibus connector 6ES7972-0BB52-0AA0 can i use a PC adapter USB/MPI plug on connector 6ES7972-0BB52-0AA0 to upload programming to my PC? now position of switch on 6ES7972-0BB52-0AA0 is on (not off). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from upload/download the data from PLC S7-300. I'm not sure if IM151-7F has power feeding to the Profibus connection point. If you would have a PC Adapter A2, then it would be no problem connecting to the PLC. Best practice would be to connect directly to the PLC.

I upload programming from CPU 317-2 DP to my PC simply. I dont want unplug connector on IM151-7F because my system is running continous. how to best upload programming from IM151-7F to my PC with PC adapter USB/MPI V2.0?

Murof Platinum Member Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 3/18/2025 Posts: 15016 Rating: (1863)	Hello in the manual of the IM151-7 CPU there is the Information that the RS485 Interface has external 24V (+/-) Pins. SO it should be forwarded through the Connector Plug and power the USB MP Adapter . Do you have tried already? does it Work?; i would say it should work. Sorry I cannot try we only use CP5711.
