Can use a USB with RS232 and CP340?

Can I use a USB to RS232 converter get RS232 signal then direct link RS232 signal to CP340? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from PC Adapter USB A2 - cannot connect to CPU 313C via MPI.
