can you put dual (modbus/ethernet) comms modules in all S7-XXX PLC's?

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear Richard, if you ask about MODBUS TCP and Ethernet I can ensure you that the S7-300 and S7-400 systems support this. The restrictions I see is the minimum memory size required... therefore some earlier 312 or 412 CPUs may miss out here. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, MODBUS TCP is just a TCP connection. If you want to do other communication protocols, like ISO on TCP, UDP or S7-Communication... this is no problem with this interface. Best regards J_Bell
