I have a s7-1511C-1 PN running MRP.  When I unplug the cable that is active, the PLC instantly realises the connection has gone.  But it takes about another 5 seconds for it to switch over to the other ethernet cable.

Is there any way to reduce this time?

As I Know the reconfiguration Time should not be longer than 200ms...

Forgot to update this.

I rang Siemens support and they guy told me to change the update time and watchdog time in the Profinet device (not the PLC).  It was set to 'calculate update time automatically'.  Change that to 'set update time manually'.

Then select 32ms

Then under watchdog time select 6.  This makes it try a new connection 6 times before failing then restarting the connection (which is what takes 5 seconds).  6 times 32 is 192ms.  Bellow the 200ms standard.

It works, reconnects in about 48ms.
