CAnnot comunicate with plc via Wincc runtime advanced

Dear Expert,

I have a problem with communicate between PLC and wincc Runtime on PC.

CPU 1214 DC/DC/DC : 6ES7-214 1AG40 - 0XB0 FIRMWARE V4.0

My software is Wincc Advanced v 13.0 sp1.

I can download program and monitor PLC can modify bit ... , but when i start wincc runtime , it seem that i cannot communicate with plc although i've already set the PG/PC interface. Please refer the attached file to see if sthing goes wrong.

an which setting you have for the PG/PC Interface?
Can you provide a screenshot?

In the project the HMI have Version V13.0.0.0 and not V13.0.1.0.

Do you use winCC RT V13.0 or V13.0 SP1?

Hello Kanuzac,

You are using a S7-1200 v4.

Please go to properties of CPU.

Go to Protection and check if you have selected the option (At the bottom)

"Permit access with PUT/GET communication from remote partner (PLC,HMI,OPC..)

i have working with the attached project.

Simulate the PLC with PLCSIM V13.SP1

After Upgrade the HMI to V13.0.1.0 and change the Tag_3 from adress Q0.0 to M1.0 it works perfektly.

You should try to don't use the Q0.0 directly for a tag in HMI!

This is my PG/PC interface .

Now , i try everything but the connection with PLC via Winncc runtime advanced still fail.

The install software is :

-Total integrated automation portal version 13 sp1 update 5

- Step 7 Professional v13 sp1 update 5

- Wincc Advanced version 13 sp1 update 5

I cannot check the version of my wincc runtime advanced, so i dont know what exactly its version.

The important things is when i change wincc runtime of HMI to V13.0.0.0 and when i start runtime , there is an error but in Germany , and when i change back to v13.0.1.0 , there are no errors but nothing work as well.

I try to download wincc runtime advanced V13 sp1 to check my current wincc runtime advanced and the result is that An error message occur when i start upgrade wincc runtime v13 sp1 (Please see the attached file)

But the start runtime on PC button in my software still enable.

So if i miss the wincc runtime advance V13 please help me where i can download it, because in siemens website only have v13 sp1

1.) the PG/PC Settings are wrong, you must set the access point S7ONLINE to the Networkinterface which is connected to the PLC, not the Accesspoint MPI(WINCC).

2.) the RT button is always enabled because this button starts the RT Simulator which is allrways installed with the WinCC Professional SW Package.
The WinCC Runtime is not available for download only Updates and Servicepacks. To get the Runtime Installfiles order it by SIEMENS , you need a licence for it.

3.) To check the version of the installed Runtime satrt the TIA Portal and open the list "installed Software", here you get a Overview of the installed SW Packages.

This post helped me to solve a problem with a real communication between S7-1200 1212C AC/DC/RLY and WinCC Runtime Advanced V15.1 (IPC277E). The problem was I haven't configured an IPC in "Set PG/PC interface".
