Hi All,

I have installed CP 1623 in the Server PC and connected to the PLC network. 

PLC's IP addresses cannot get ping from Server PC via CP 1623 Card, whereas If I configure a same series of IP address in a Lan card of the server PC, PLC's IP addresses are getting ping from the command prompt.

Can any one please guide me to clear the above issue?

are there any other components in the Network, like router or switches?

can you describe more in detail what IP-addresses and subnetmasks the devices have?

Which PLC do you have, that you want to ping? What port of the PLC do you use?

Hi,

No routers in the network, only switches are used.

IP address in 192.168.10.1 to 254 series and sub net mask is 255.255.255.0 

I have S7 1500 as well as S7 400H PLC's. PLC's inbuilt ethernet port is used for communication.

For your information, I can ping the devices if I connect the network to the LAN card of the PC, So I believe the network is fine, only CP 1623 settings to be checked.

I doubt if there is any special setting required for CP card with Windows Server 2008 OS.

  FIrewall is turned off in the servers.
