Hi. I can get a S7 1215 running as NTP server. The link was helpful, thank you. I tested the NTP server functionality with the following command:

w32tm /stripchart /computer:domainnameORipaddress /dataonly /samples:5

The server seems to be running as expected.

But I still cannot synchronise a Unified Comfort Panel with the server. NTP server configuration at the panel should be correct. Read interval is 10 s. Any ideas why sync still does not work?

Split from Time synchronization between PLC and Unified HMI.

I observed a similar behaviour and asked a Siemens Member. This might be an known issue and hopefully will be fixed in a near Update.

In my case the synchronisation works (after ca.10 s) each time I changed just a parameter in the NTP-Configuration, for Example the synchronisation time or the IP.  Otherwise it took 5min oder 15min or even 1h.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, I can't see your behavior in my case. I don't have any synchronisation at all.

btw: No problems with synchronisation with external servers over the internet!
