Cant open WinCC v6.2 after installed

CuiBap Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I have installed on XP SP2 the WINCC V6.2 but i cant open it. When i do double click on WinCC icon, it is open, but after 1 minute WinCC auto close my hardware: IBM thinkpad T60 2623KFU CPU : intel Centrino duo core RAM: 2GB Hardisk Space : 25GB THANKS Attachment 1.jpg (69 Downloads)

Jsonser Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hey there, I had the same problem. I also was using an IBM thinkpad. However it only had 1gig RAM. However, when the applications started up the memory wasnt enough and it would time out and shut down, which is what seems to be happening to you. I thought it was because of the 1gig RAM but now im thinking its the IBM Thinkpads. They are old, and crap. Might want to try it on a new Laptop/PC and see what you get. Its a pain, but i had to install this program 5 times before i got it to work. Good Luck

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, About Step7 5.4 working with WinCC v6.2: you must have a service pack for Step 7 (it can be SP1, 2 or 3... you can download them for free online) About the Simatic HMI group, you can check on Windows this under "Control Panel" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Computer Management". Within that, access "System Tools" -> "Users and local groups" -> "Groups". Double click the "Simatic HMI" group and check if the user you're currently logged in in Windows (an administrator user, of course) belongs to the Simatic HMI group. Best regards, Danielle
