I´m working with PCS7 v7.0 SP1 and i´d like to know if any special driver, software or licence is needed. Could you please provide me with some tip ? Thanks a lot in advance and best regards

Mucosolvan Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi , It is possible. You can connect via SQL-OLEDB, but you need to decompress the archived information. Btw, I tested the connectivity pack before, and it seems like making it to work with CAS is not a stright forward thing if it is not possible. I think the connectivity pack only work with OS Server database. To work with SQL database in CAS, you just need to locate several stored procedure from Siemens: - sp_cctlg_registerval - sp_cctlg_decompress - sp_cctlg_getvalue - sp_cctlg_unregisterval Create a stored procedure in _ARCHIVE_01__D or in other database, and call it from the VB or Excel via SQL-OLEDB. I have applied the above to generate daily report and to make it easier I suggest you create a table on the fly to store all decompressed values. Hope it helps. Feri
