CB 1241 and CPU 1214 AC/DC/RLY MODBUS PROBLEM

Christof_P Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hello All, 2 years ago I have connected old CPU 1212C with CB1241 and 4 Inverters Eura Drive. Communication was MODBUS and MB_COMM_LOAD_DB and MB_MASTER_DB. All working very nice. Hardware port CB1241 was 269. Now I have new CPU 1214C Firmware 4.1.3. with CB1241 Firmware 1.0 and Port 271. RS485 2 Wire. No workig. I have use MB_COMM_LOAD_DB v2.1 and MB_MASTER_DB v2.1 no working. After i have use Modbus_Comm_Load_DB v3.0 and Modbus_Master_DB v2.3 no working. After Change Mode from 0 to 4, transmit LED flashing. Status 16#7000, 16#7002 Help me please Regards Christof

I was testing Modbus_Comm_Load v3.0 and Modbus_Master v2.2 working without problems with Mode 0. As Slave I had PC MB Slave application with filled data. If I'll have free time, will test v2.3 Master instruction, but try that v2.2 version and give info, it must working without problems. Maybe after download cfg and changes turn OFF/ON power supply for PLC.

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 1/24/2025 Posts: 15558 Rating: (2468)	If it were me, I would change the REQ bit to something I can toggle in a watch table. Then toggle it and capture the done/error bits since they are only on for one scan, like with a counter.

If not, my status value does not tell me what is wrong. Is your DB set up for absolute or symbolic? Change it to the other, compile, download and try again. Tommorow i try connected with other PLC with RS485 and Modbus RTU. I have resistors 120 Ohm. Tommorow I make 120 Ohm Terminators. When not working...... >>>>> I buy Analog Outputs and make regulation with............ :)))))))) My last application two years ago worked flawlessly. This was 5 Inverters from Eura Drive.......... I've done a lot of things with Modbus, everything always worked. At the forum I see that the set of the CPU 1214 + CB1241 can not cope.There are many cases without a solution. In this project, I have bought a total of 2 sets. Siemens never let me down S7-200,300 1200. Best Regards Christoph
