MNR Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Dear A.Pasandi, Replacing CCU1 with CCU3 needs lot of commissioning work and it is not striaght plug play and the reason is as below, 1. CCU1 hardware not same as CCU3 and it needs new hardware configuration for CPU type and also the PLC tool box need to loaded to suit new NC software version 2. the CCU3 hardware will support NC software version starting from version 6 , so on your old CCU1 the software version it is NC software version could be 2. 3. Also the software options 4. the old NC archive will not work on the new CCU3 type, because of the compatiblity of the NC software version. So you need to convert the old NC archive to be used on the new CCU type 5.Also you have to upgrade MMC103 with PCU50 ( and this needs new software installation and if you have OEM screen then you will have more problem By considering all the above fact, i would suggest you to contact nearet Siemens office
