Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	SoI am back with one more question... ): When I try toActivate (runtime)the WinCC 6.0 SP3 with Alarm Logging enabled, the activation process stops throwing error message that "Encountered problems with CCWriteArchiveServer.exe" Screenshot attached. I tried reinstalling WinCC, but problem persists. Strange part is it works ona machine which is out of office network (domain & access rightnot configured), that made me think that is there any accessright conflict? Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	Yes, I guess I should upgrade to SP4. I have lot of softwares installed as it is a development PC; primarliy I have SIMATIC Manager V5.3 SP1 and PLCSIM running. Can you please tell where to find the WinCC diagnostic files you mentioned ? Regards.

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Yes, the problem with upgrading WinCC is that you must upgrade Step7, SIMATIC Net, etc. as well ! One thing to check, do you have Hotfix 2 installed ? WinCC V6 SP3 needs this hotfix to operate correctly.

Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	Gotcha !! I had to enable MSDTC services and Message Queuing Services . Even if I had installed Message Queuing, unless you have services running Alarm logging and Tag logging will not get activated. Now it is neat. Joey.
