CF card for s120

mehdihossein Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi, We bought following items: 1) 1ft7108 SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR 2) CU320 control unit 3) TM31 terminal module 4) Single Motor Module But we didn't buy CF card and we know it is necessary for drive the motor, now we have following question: 1) I downloaded firmware which we need for s120, can we load this firmware on general CF card with SIMOTION SCOUT? I mean can we use general cards or we should buy Siemens CF card? 2) Is ther any other instrument/unit we need buy to drive the motor? 3) Can we communicate with Cu320 through RS232 without CF card? (we tried but there was an error in communication)

Thanks, but our incoming voltage for our single motor module is 24V DC and 620V DC. So as I understood there is no other part which we need for drive this motor.

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	You are correct, if DC bus is available, line module is not needed. Aside from cables & connectors connecting components, the parts list is complete. What is the complete motor part number?

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Performance extension is not needed for one motor application such as this one. Basic flash card will work. For the CU320, the flash card part number is 6SL3054-0CG00-1AA0: S120 CF V2.06 W/O performance extension. Keep in mind that a successor CU320-2 is already available: firmware is not compatible between the two. -2 uses firmware 4.3 and above.

mehdihossein Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thanks for answer. I repeat my prior question, we don't have line module but we have 600V DC+ 24V DC from another supply, is there any problem here? does CU320 need any connection with line module for operate correctly?

The is a singal interconnection in the drive, Parameter 864, that indicates that the line module is powered up and ready. It can be assigned to one of the digital inputs on the CU320. The drive will not enable until P864 connection is true.
