CFC download change radio button cannot be used and OK button grayed out

• CPU 417H: 6ES7-5HT06-0AB0
• Flash memory (EPROM) 16mb (to be inserted  in cpu manualy)
• Internal memory included:
  • Load memory 1MB
  • Work memory 16MB
• Program size: 3.5MB (larger than the Load memory at 1MB)

Any help and insights in re-enabling the download of only changes is greatly appreciated. We can't operate online now and are out of ideas on what to try to only download changes while operating from CFC.

CPU 417H can work even without external load memory (flash memory). In this case, if your flash memory is too small, you can still run without using it as long as you have good backup battery in the power supply module.

From the "Blocks" section, we cleaned everything on the flash and re-downloaded all blocks on the flash and the flash was manually inserted into the CPU

How exactly did you re-download all blocks on the flash? "Blocks" section should not be touched under normal condition when working with CFC. Program blocks there are result of CFC charts compilation and including necessary markers and time stamps in order to execute "changes only" download.

If you tampered the contents of the "Blocks" folder without knowing exactly what you're doing, the "changes only" download will surely become unavailable because the "markers" in the online blocks don't match with the offline project any longer. From there you will have to download entire program again to match with the offline project. Please remember this will stop the CPU and takes some time to finish. Parameter data will also revert to its initial values.

Thank you for your advice, you were correct.

I was careless with blocks, so I redownloaded the entire software with a CPU shutdown and now it's working again.
