Change flashing speed?

Hi. I have a simple rectangle connected to a bit in the PLC. I have an animation set up whereby if the bit is on the rectangle will flash. All is working just fine, however, I'd like to increase the flash frequency. So far I have not been able to find where the flash rate is set (if anywhere).

Can anyone help?

I'd rather not use a timer in the PLC with boolean logic, as it means I will be constrained by the communications speed, and, in additional it's a wasteful overhead of comms bandwidth.

There is no adjustment for the flashing period.

Linking this to the PLC won't work either.
The updating cycle of the communications will be asynchronise with the flash timer and effect the "look" of the flashing.

What HMI do you have? The COMFORT model has more to work with.

Thanks for the reply. At the moment, I'm using the KTP700 Basic. However, I'm just using the KTP700 in emulation at the moment, so there's nothing to stop us upgrading to a more capable unit. Having said that, ability to flash/not flash does not seem like a very persuasive argument for using a more capable/expensive HMI unit! I think I'll just reconfigure the software with red/green colours according to alarm state. There's nothing in the specification that I'm working to that mandates flashing indicators so I can get away with it!

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I'm an AB and Omron guy; new to Siemens but enjoying the S7-3xx hardware and the TIA software very much indeed. Very impressive.
