Hello all, in our project we are using several motor flaps, but the functionality is same like motor valves. So for flaps I'm using same function block like for valves (VlvMotL). But in OS I want to show a picture of flap so a made my own icons from the original block icons for VlvMotL to show picture of flap, this is working well (pic1). Problem is when I will open a faceplate for that flap. This will open a faceplate of valve (pic2) instead of flap (pic3). So I again made copies of original faceplate .pdls and saved as flap .pdls (pic4). In these new .pdls I changed everything where was "VlvMotL" to "FlapMotL", I also changed some attributes in block icon in "@PCS7TypicalsAPLV8" (pic5) but with no luck. The attribute "Type" where is "@VlvMotL/13" can't be changed because if I will put there "@FlapMotL/13" no block icons will not be generated. On pic3 there are together 3 places to show states. Numbers 1 and 2 are working good (icons were changed through "Configuration dialog") but number 3 (the biggest one) isn't working. There are still pictures of valve. Do you have any suggestions how to make it working well? Thanks Kivvi

Hi Kivvi, in picture "@PG_FlapMotL.PDL" you have to change the texts of 3 objects: - "@Faceplate" > "Texts" > Firstview = "PG_FlapMotL_Standard" -"ToolbarWindow" > "Miscellaneous" > "Picture Name" = "PG_FlapMotL_ViewToolbar.PDL" - "ObjCollection" > "Settings" > "BlockType" = "FlapMotL" Have you done these settings? You can also have a look at this manual "PCS 7 Libraries APL Style Guide", maybe there you find some necessary information. Regards jumo |

Hi jumo thanks for reply. I have already read the"PCS 7 Libraries APL Style Guide", and changed all the attributes written there (chapter 6.4.2 Adapting faceplates) but no succes. There isn't written anything about changing actuator pictures (only default pictures after opening faceplate and this is working good). Then I tried to create a new FB for my Flap. So I copied the existing original VlvMotL (FB1900) and saved as FlapMotL (FB1901) and put in the CFC. But due to the Know How protection of the block I cannot change the Name(Header) attribute (pic6). In CFC when I open the block we can see the "Type" attribute has changed to "FlapMotL", Name(header) is still "VlvMotL" (pic7). Then I changed "Type" attribute in my block icon in "@PCS7TypicalsAPLV8.pdl" to "@FlapMotL/13" (pic8). After compilation of OS the block icon was created unlike in my post before. But still faceplate is showing valve pictures (pic9). I forgot to mention that I'm using PCS7 v8 SP1. But it will not be very helpful I guess :). So any help will beappreciated. Thanks Kivvi
