Hello, PCS7 7.1 sp3 and up: I need to modify an block icon. for example: the motl block. I drag a statusdisplay in the typical pdl and set for state 0: red circle, 1:green circle. I then select the block icon motl and edit it by using the create object. After this, I select the statusdisplay and block icon and finish editing. But now.... How can I say that when monitoring is active, that the statusdisplay must be green and when not active, red. I want to use it with the .tag prefix but what do I need to do with the configuration dialog? It seems I cannot put any properties of the statusdisplay inside the motl block. |

Hi Well you need to look into Start -> Simatic -> Documents -> English -> PCS 7 - Programming Instructions for Blocks. Hmmm not excactly what I want. I know how to change the status display of the block icon, but I want to add a new status display and want to assign a tag to it like .MONITOR. So that for all block instances, the tag is created. If the .Monitor tag in the Motl block is 1, the status display changes to state 1. I added the new status display to the block icon by edit, finish. I then select configuration dialog and now I assigned the statusdisplay.State to the LINK property in the APL block icon. In properties, I can see the .State property and assigned .MONITOR to it. But it doesn't seem to work, as the status display is not operationable in runtime (exclamation mark with yellow triangle in the background of the status display). Am I doing something wrong? |
