Changing classification of FCs/FBs/DBs/Mementos

Kramps Posts: 66 Rating: (2)	Hello, I would like to know if there is a simple way to change the classification af a STEP7 item (such as a FB, FC, DB, Memento) and in the same time to keep the same symbol and to change in the same operation the number in all the occurencies of the item, without changing it manually. This because the symbolics are only in the symbolic table, I mean that you can not change the symbolic on another place. Maybe you can make a source with the symbolics and then change all things in the source (e.g. the blocknumbers and all other things that you want to change) and after that change in the symbolic the numbers.

Kramps Posts: 66 Rating: (2)	Thanks, i see for the symbolic name, it's not directly possible. But is it possible to change for instance the number of one memento (which is used in multiple occurencies) and to make sure that STEP7 change this number on each occurency of this memento?

Kramps Posts: 66 Rating: (2)	Sorry I made a bad translation, I think memento is only a french word. I mean memory (M480.0 for instance), but my question works with all sorts of STEP7 items. For instance, I want to take a program part in an old project which was numbered FB16xx,FC16xx,DB16xx,M16xx and to reuse it but now with a new classification in a new project. This time, I want to renumber it FB5xx,FC5xx,DB5xx,M5xx. Of course, i'm a bit lazy so i don't want to change all the occurencies of those items in this program part manually and i want to know if there is a possibility to do this automatically.

After that compile everything with "Check Block Consistency" and voila, the numbers are alll changed... [:P] Make first off all a good backup.... [:blush:]

Kramps Posts: 66 Rating: (2)	In fact this solution seems to work for parameters E,A,M,T,Z & for DBs but it doesn't work for FCs & FBs. Does something else exists for FBs & FCs ?
