Changing CPs in Redundant Configuration

mazdak Posts: 64 Rating: (0)	Dear Friends We have a redundant configuration with two CPUs 417FH and two Ethernet CPs (443-1). As you know, when we put the switch of Master CPU or CP to stop position, the master should change to another CPU/CP. Is there any possibility to change the Master CP via program without changing the Master CPU? I mean, for example by activating a SFC/SFB via program, we change the Master CP to another one. But the Master CPU remains as before. Please give me your solution. Sincerely Mazdak

If I remember correct, the feature for switching the master CPU's by software is plannedwith the next revision.Unfortunately they did not mentioned anything about the CP's. Regards.

Because to change the hardware from One CPU to other during H-Runtime is not possible. So we can guide you the procesure for chnaging the hardware.

KayBee Posts: 241 Rating: (7)	As far as I know this is not possible. Because you are only allowed to Program only one CP in the S7 400H redundant system. You know that you only program only one S7 400H station(Master) and other remain untouched , programs & configuration data automatically trasfered into other CPU (Standby). I like your creative question. This is really a situation which may need to be solved.
