Changing CPU from 318->319 and communication/Network

NickeNyfiken Posts: 65 Rating: (1)	Hi I'm about to change CPu from 318 to 319 and when i started to replace the CPU it changes the ID in the Netpro From 0001 A050( CPU318)to 0001 A020 (CPU 319). Try ty change it but i cant. This CPu are connected to more Cpu's and other forms och cummunication/networks. My question is i have to change the id in the other projektmanager's for the communication partners? (Local ID and partner ID). Or how to change back from 0001 A020 to 0001 A050. Att. an screen dump fore som more info. If i don't can change the local ID, do i have to change in every station och download netpro?. ( i guess it's so). So the best is if i can change back the local ID, but it mabey is related to the CPU.? Were from come's that local ID in netpro, is it something the modul is making or is it changeable? Can you change ID there? I believe you could change last number only (e.g. 0001) 3) Another thing to try - take original project, make a copy, and replace CPU by right mouse click on CPU in HWKonfig->Replace. Theoretically all connections should be the same (unsure here) 4) If nothing helps (but really i would try all other options beforehand) - then yes, you have to compile netpro and download all affected stations - downloading every station not needed actually. Then you must also check communication blocks in affected - they should use new IDs...

Yes, deleted the old CPu in the projekt, and added the new CPu. 2) try to doubleclick on connection - it's properties must appear. Can you change ID there? Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (259)	Sorry to say that, but seems you no other option, but changing CPU in the way you did But on thinking a bit more - anyway you would have to reload both affected stations - even if you could change CPU by Replace function.... You can try to export HW config , edit it manually and reimport in new project, but i won't do it with CPU - too many properties to mention- moreover if HW config says that properties of 318 are not transferable to 319 - think it's really so.

The problem is it can only be changed to same type off cpu but with other firmware. Not with 319, so the connections have to be made again, and with alot off hardware, that is not so easy to do.
